Much like how people get trained to identify the signs of a heart attack and then start CPR or call 911, this training is the same concept for mental health and substance use challenges. These are growing challenges in our community and world, and MHFA training helps provide the training and resources to identify and address these situations.

In addition to recognizing the need for this training in our community, we are pleased that this training ties into a major focus of Gordon McInally, Rotary International President for 2023-2024. To use his words, "Challenges around mental illness and emotional health affect us all. And research shows that performing acts of kindness is the single most effective way to improve your mood over the long term. Rotary is uniquely positioned to make a global impact on this effort, and I hope you will join me in showing this new level of care to each other — and to ourselves."

We hope you will join us in making a difference in your community by taking this training!
